How to make a disk partition in Windows 7 (part 1)

Perhaps among the friends who are beginners anyone asks about the partition and its usefulness. Partitions (Partition), the file system and storage management is a part of memory or storage media that is logically separate that function as if that section is physically separated. Storage media that can be partitioned is the memory (either physical memory or virtual memory by the operating system memory manager), hard disk, magneto-optical disk (MO disk), and some flash memory. Nevertheless, the term partition is currently often used to refer to the section of the hard disk.

Partition is created when the user makes by using the partitioning utility (like utility DOS / Linux fdisk, FIPS, Disk Druid, the Windows diskpart utility, or commercial product like Partition Magic, etc.) and format it by giving it a particular file system.

Each operating system and file system has its own name to refer to the partition. For example, MS-DOS partition using the term, while the family of Windows NT uses the term volume. This is caused by Windows NT that has the ability to form one volume which consists of several separate partitions.

Benefits to the partition:

1. If the hard drive is too big in size, so it is better if you create a partition (divide the disk into sections / drive). to better facilitate / speed up windows to index the files on your computer drive, probably a simple picture like this, if you have a big warehouse so if you find stuff in the warehouse will be looking from the entrance down to a particular section until you find the goods. In contrast, if you create partitions in the warehouse, for example, divide it into 4 rooms, each room contains a particular item. So it is with your hard drive partitions will be created for example your hard drive size 160 GB, can be divided into 4 rooms / drive / partition, the partition C: filled system and application files, the partition D is filled documents, partition E is filled with files (backup) installer / software, file C diidi with multimedia files of a case of song files, then the existence of such groupings if the windows look for the file system on drive C will look, then look for the song will go to E, etc., and indirectly will facilitate your search for a file- file in your hard drive.
2. If drive C virus (assuming drive C contains the windows), then the file on another drive is still safe, if you format drive C
3. Can install multiple operating systems within your hard drive without the need for overlapping files, eg: C drive contains Windows XP, drive D contains the Windows Vista, the drive E, it contains Linux, drive F could contain data or other document files. Another drive you can use to learn another operating system.
3. By dividing the partition into sections small will make it easier for you to find files in your hard drive

The division of a large partition volume / space it depends on the needs,

In the process of partition there were some things that are often conducted simultaneously, namely
1. delete a disk partition
2. minimize the size of the disk partition
3. enlarge the size of disk partition
4. create a new partition

Note:
You need to be careful in making partition for your data is not deleted, and your hard drive remain normal. You need to backup the data (copy) data to another hard drive (external snapped) or copy of data (backups) to a piece of the CD for if there is a problem in the partition then you still have backups of data that can later be copied back to the hard drive in case of failure partition . The cause of the failure of partition was the denial of the ongoing process of partition or if you were doing partition sudden power outage, or the physical condition of your hard drive is old.
I am not responsible if your data is lost. 's files, follow these steps if you want to experiment to create the partition your hard drive

Here is how to create a disk partition in Windows 7

1. In the search box, type the computer management then enter

2. Select a Disk management
Choose a partition (drive) that will resize
If your computer only the C drive (not partitioned) then just click the drive, then right-click

3. In this example I try to divide Drive C (WIN 7) into two partitions
Right click on drive C select Shrink Volume

4. Wait until the process is complete query

5. Dialog box will appear,
In the "Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB" enter the value you want, I usually enter a value equal to or smaller than the query, the query result is empty space around 6579. You can try to input your own value (adjust to your hard drive space).

6. In this example I enter a value of around 5000 MB space (5 GB)
Click the Shrink button

7. Up here you have to change the size of drive C (WIN 7) to 34.35 GB, you already have an empty space that you can make a new partition.

Up here you've got an empty space (free space). Free space has not been able to read in windows explorer because it has not in the format. You can do the format of free space page....
